A white villa between the golf course and La Concha
The project
Villa Alaya stands beside a golf course in Marbella, with La Concha and the mountains dominating the view. It combines Andalusian architecture, in a pavilion crowned by a tiled roof, with contemporary white volumes and black steel window frames.
The build
You enter through a courtyard with an olive tree and a reflecting pool that is lit at night. The living room occupies the pavilion, with a sloping timber ceiling and windows onto the garden; around it are the white kitchen with breakfast bar, a glass-walled wine room, the dining room and a cinema room.
The principal suite has a four-poster bed and a glass-enclosed bathroom with a freestanding bath. Outside, the garden features a sunken lounge with a fireplace and a long pool with a sun deck, while upstairs a terrace looks out over the golf course at sunset.
